How to overcome “Stag nan cy”

I have been doing my business for several years in this memory field and there were too many ups and downs even though the period for business was not so long.

I have experienced that the annual turnover and net profit of a company does not always depend on my efforts. Sometimes, my company profit has been increased without difficulty. On the other hand, the profit was not increased however much I may do my best.

As you know well, we don’t need to worry about our business when the economy is flourishing because the business will be run by itself.

But it’s very confused and embarrassed when the economy is depressed. Whenever it happened, I worried about how to get over this situation cleverly.

Our company is being run in the distribution industry of semiconductor. Especially, the semiconductor business is hypersensitive of Economy. Therefore, the semiconductor shares may be count ed on the finger s by people who deal in stocks as a preceding index of stocks.

Our company is not depressed when the business prospect is getting worse. We would rather try seeking a competent man and find a new market than reduce business. I believe this is the best time to develop ourselves. We can spend more time to seek a competent man and we can invest more finances for finding new market and educate our staffs. Because we are free during the slow season of the business, we can work out for another job that we couldn’t pay attention to do for it during high-demand season.

All this kind of investments will be very helpful when the economy is going up again. Especially these days, we give an opportunity to our employees to go on a business trip so that our staffs will be able to have more experiences and can be closer with our customers than before.

The advantages that we can get through the business trip are much bigger than just doing works in the office.

We used to receive a business offer from our customers and find a new item in the outside. In addition to, we can feel and realize about our rivals and partners how much they are working harder than us. After a business trip, we can draw up plan s for the future because we and our partners in overseas can share the information and learn more about the business in different point of view.

Eventually, the most important thing in running a company is how long to maintain the company in ups and downs of economy and how to overcome the stagnation of business.

As we accumulate our experience and knowledge annually, our company will be stronger internally and externally.

I can make a prediction that the market of semiconductor has a good prospect in 2004, especially I put my hope on 3Q and 4Q of this year because the demand is very high during the season.

We could make a good result so far by the efforts in last year that was little inactivity of business and we are expecting that we will get more the fruit of our labor this coming 3Q and 4Q.
