What 2002 Summit participants accomplished...
● "The greatest
opportunity for our association was to participate in the creation of a
confederation of Mediterranean women entrepreneurs’ associations."
(Danielle Rousseau, President, Dirigeantes, France)
● "Because of the
Summit, I managed to secure support for a water purification project from a
Spanish government agency resulting from a meeting arranged by one of the Summit
organizers, Adela Suberano. I was also able to share environment-related
regulations which we developed in my country with a mining executive from
Namibia at the Summit."
(Minister Mabudhafasi, Dept. of Environmental Protection and Tourism, South
Africa).
●"The most
productive thing was my meeting with a documentary film maker who is working on
a project about women of Central Asia entitled ‘Other Borders – Women’s
Outlook’. We discussed the first steps of organizational, technical and
financial issues of the project, which we will gladly support.
(Gulnara Baimambetova, Krygysztan).
●"I will be
establishing contact between organizations from the Balkans that are conducting
programs for women’s entrepreneurship with women from Barcelona Activa.
(Ivet Curlin, Croatia)
●"I met with a US
broker interested in exporting our products. I had also good contacts with
businesswomen from Turkemistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Georgia and Macedonia."
(Christina Dimitrova, Bulgaria)
●"I have had talks
with an Art Gallery owner in Tokyo and one in Beijing, who have expressed
interest in possible professional collaborations in the future. There is also a
possibility of working together on an art project with one of the European
participants."
(Donna Kelley, Spain)
●"I had the chance
to meet a lot of women who are interested in introducing Delance in their
country. I have the dream that one day Delance will be distributed all over the
world by participants to the Global Summit of Women."
(Gisele Rufer, CEO, Delance, Switzerland)
●"I found marketing
opportunities for polished diamonds with women jewel manufacturers in Barcelona
and Kazakhstan."
(Inge Zaamwani, Namibia)
●"I made a contact
with former Russian countries to establish and help in innovation for woman by
franchising my company there."
